He was the son of director Robert N. Bradbury, and his father got him into movies at a young age. He is best known for his work in B-westerns, but he also made some notable appearances in A-movies, including: Of Mice and Men, The Big Sleep, Rio Bravo, The Longest Day, Hang 'Em High, McLintock, and Charley Varrick.
