An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11", 152 pages) (Learn More)

Orson Welles' The Dreamers, the 1982 Orson Welles romantic melodrama (based on two stories by Karen Blixen, "The Dreamers" and "Echoes") starring Orson Welles and Oja Kodar. Orson Welles wrote this script, and he had difficulties getting any studio to sign on to the project, so he had two 10-minute segments filmed at his home, one of which starred him, and the other starring Oja Kodar. It is unknown if he intended to use that footage in the final film, or if this was merely created to attract investors. After he failed to interest investors with his 20 minutes of film, the project was abandoned. There were several attempts to restart it, but to date nothing material has occurred. The 20 minutes of film are in a German museum, and have been shown publicly several times, and have been included on a DVD about Welles.
