Fixes!.. of the smartest mouthpiece of them all!"; "Criminal Lawyer - to him the law was a game - a game he thought he could frame!"; "The inside story of the lawyer who kept killers outside the deathouse!"; "Gamblers...killers...crooks... all got away with murder - till he got in too deep!"; "Written by Harold R. Greene") starring Pat O'Brien, Jane Wyatt, Carl Benton Reid, Mary Castle, Robert Shayne, and Mike Mazurki. Note that sixth-billed Mike Mazurki plays O'Brien's right hand man, and when he is falsely accused of murder, alcoholic O'Brien must pull himself together to try to clear him. Mazurki plays the role as a "gentle giant", far different from his character in "Murder, My Sweet", and everyone agrees it is likely his best performance! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best four stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills. Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (mostly the ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture four of the stills on all of the black and white lots). Sometimes we noted when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we likely did not catch that on many of the lots (especially the ones with a large number of stills), so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot.
