Zanuck; a highly fictionalized biography of Scottish inventor Robert Fulton, who arrived in New York City in 1807 to revolutionize travel between the boroughs by his newly invented steamboat, and everyone thinks he's crazy except for Alice Faye and her boyfriend Fred MacMurray) starring Alice Faye, Fred MacMurray, Richard Greene (as Robert Fulton), Brenda Joyce, Andy Devine, Henry Stephenson, and Fritz Feld. Note that there was a silent version of this movie in 1923 starring Marion Davies, but it had significant plot differences from this 1940 version. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
