An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Florodora Girl, the 1930 Harry Beaumont romantic mistaken identity gold digger comedy ("A Story of the Gay Nineties..."; it is set in the 1890s, and Marion Davies is a showgirl who doesn't try to milk rich guys out of their money, and her showgirl friends try to get her to play that game, but she ends up a guy whose family was once rich, and they are now broke, and he is trying to milk her out of her money!) starring Marion Davies, Lawrence Gray, Walter Catlett, Louis John Bartels, and Ilka Chase. It is an unfortunate legacy of Citizen Kane that people assume that the character of the second Mrs. Kane was based on Marion Davies (which it was), but they also assume that Miss Davies was a no talent actress in the way the second Mrs. Kane was a no talent singer. This was definitely NOT true, and if you have never seen any Marion Davies movies, you should, because you will see that she was definitely talented!

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1930 posters and lobby cards from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a jumbo lobby card and a few stills from this movie until we received this title lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. There is a tiny surface tear in one of Davies eyes at upper left, with a few tiny stains, tiny creases, and faint smudges in the blank borders. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
