Degenerate Art, the 1991 poster used to advertise an artwork exhibition of avant-garde art from World War II (WWII) Germany (art that was outlawed by the Nazis as being "degenerate") held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, in Los Angeles, California ("'Degenerate Art': The Fate of the Avant-Garde in Nazi Germany"; "February 17 - May 12, 1991"; "Los Angeles County Museum of Art"; "This exhibition was organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and funded in part by grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts. It received additional assistance from the Federal Republic of Germany and an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities. Lufthansa German Airlines provided major support for the transportation of the exhibition."). The poster features the painting "Russiche Tanzerin [Russian Dancer]" by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.
