An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Jailhouse Rock, the classic 1957 Richard Thorpe rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) crime prison romantic musical ("His first big dramatic singing role!"; about a young man who is sent to prison for manslaughter, and while there he is helped to become a singer/musician by an older convict, and after he is released, he becomes a major rock star!) starring Elvis Presley ("At His Greatest"), Judy Tyler (who sadly died in an auto accident before the release of the film), Mickey Shaughnessy, Dean Jones, Jennifer Holden, and Anne Neyland NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has white conservation tape on the back of the entire vertical foldline and on the back of the right half of the horizontal foldline. There is also conservation tape on the back of the right 8" of the bottom border, and a piece of tape on the back of the top right corner, and a 3" piece of white conservation tape on the back of the part of the image that has the top of Presley's sideburn in the central image area. The poster has rough creases on both foldlines and many pinholes, creases, smudges, and areas of discoloration around the edges. There is clear tape on the front of the poster in the center of the left and right blank borders. In spite of the above defects, I believe the poster could be displayed by many people just as it is, because the defects are not very distracting, and certainly any talented restorer could paperback the poster and repair the above defects, after which it would look wonderful! Also note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
