An Original Vintage 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] News Photo (Learn More) Jane Greer was an actress from the 1940s to the 1990s. She was born Bettejane Greer, and she was billed that way in her early movies. She appeared in some very memorable film noir movies of the 1940s. Some of her movies include: Out of the Past, They Won't Believe Me, and Man of a Thousand Faces. She passed away in 2001 at the age of 76. Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful news photo shows Jane Greer right before she appeared in "Sinbad the Sailor" in 1947. This was two movies before "Out of the Past"! Note that on her Christmas wish list are "6 doz nylons" (which were in very short supply in 1946), 1 club coupe, Cary Grant, and 1 mink coat (but she didn't finish the "oat" of "coat"!). Also note that this news photo has been trimmed and it now measures 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]. This still (and the many others in this auction that have this sentence on it) come from a very advanced collector who has been collecting for over 50 years and has a very high quality collection some of which he is consigning with us. Condition: good. The newspaper attached part of the newspaper page image to the back of the center of the still, and it has creases and scuffs scattered throughout. But they are not very distracting when the still is looked at straight on, and there are far fewer than in Greer's figure and face than there are in the rest of the still.
