An Original Vintage English Movie Trade Ad (measures 17 1/4" x 22" [44 x 56 cm] when unfolded; 3 pages) (Learn More)

Room Service, the 1938 William A. Seiter hotel slapstick comedy ("Mama - those men are here again!"; The Marx Bros. are in a hotel and can't pay their bill, and they refuse to leave, with many great comic scenes) starring The Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, and Harpo Marx), Lucille Ball, Ann Miller, Frank Albertson, and Cliff Dunstan. Note that not only did this movie have the Marx Bros., but it also had Lucille Ball, who a little over a decade later would become America's favorite comedienne!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this great 17 1/4" x 22" full-color English trade ad was removed from the October 10, 1938 issue of To-Day's Cinema, an English trade magazine. It has part of ads for other movies on the reverse side (see our images), but of course, this great trade ad can be displayed and enjoyed as a poster! Also note that the art of the three Marx Brothers certainly looks like Hirschfeld art (especially Groucho), but it is quite possible it was an English artist copying Hirschfeld's style. If anyone knows for certain who did the art, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good. There are many creases and scuffs scattered through the ad, with some dot stains in the solid gold areas. There is tiny paper loss where the staples were and fine surface paper loss down the center of the two-page spread (see our image).
