A Vintage Autographed Softcover Book (measures 6" x 9" [15 x 23 cm]; 455 pages) (Learn More)

Report of the American Olympic Committee: Seventh Olympic Games Antwerp, Belgium, the 1920 sports history book chronicling the events of the 1920 Summer Olympics (Games of the VII Olympiad) that were held in Antwerp, Belgium, including many black & white images of the events and athletes
Important Added Info: Note that this book was purchased by our consignor at the "Pickfair Estate Auction", where they sold items that belonged to Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. This book was clearly the personal possession of Fairbanks Jr., because it has been personally autographed (signed) by Richmond Landon, who competed in this Olympics in the high jump, where he won the gold medal (he wrote "To 'Doug' Fairbanks, 'a regular feller' with memories of a pleasant afternoon in Hollywood 'Rick' Landon, World's high jump champion")! One might think that this could have been signed to Fairbanks Sr., but we had a different book that was autographed which came from the same group, and on that dedication he wrote "Fairbanks Jr.", so we feel certain this book was also signed to him, and not his father! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.

Condition: good. There is tattering at the spine and the back cover is completely loose. There is some tiny paper loss in the corners of the cover. There is some smudging and staining on the covers and the first interior page (the one with the inscription). The rest of the book is in pretty nice condition.
