He had a giant hit with the calypso song "Day-O" and its popularity was revived decades later when it was used in the movie "Beetlejuice"! Some of his movies include: White Man's Burden, Buck and the Preacher, and Carmen Jones. He passed away in 2023 at the age of 96.
