An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) The Mummy, the classic 1932 Karl Freund Universal Ancient Egypt romantic monster horror thriller ("It comes to life!"; "The most amazing make-up ever achieved"; "Story by Nina Wilcox Putnam and Richard Schayer") starring Boris Karloff ("The Uncanny"; in the title role as Imhotep the Mummy), Zita Johann, David Manners, Edward Van Sloan, Arthur Byron, Bramwell Fletcher, and Noble Johnson (as The Nubian) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of two makeup men putting on the "250 yards of bandages" needed to turn Karloff into "The Mummy" (a cast member looks on in the background). Also note that there is information about the still printed on the back. There is a stamp on the back of the still that reads, "THIS PHOTOGRAPH IS FROM FILM PICTORIAL FILES KINDLY RETURN WHEN USED". There is another stamp that reads "FILM PICTORIAL 6 MAY 1933". Condition: good. There are many creases around the edges of the still, and some scattered faint emulsion scuffs around the edges of the image (but next-to-none in the center of the image). The creases in the borders are noticeable, but the defects within the image are really mostly only noticeable except when the still is tilted to the light.
