An Original Vintage 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More) June Allyson (born Eleanor Geisman) was a very likable actress from the 1940s to the 1980s. She was cast over and over as the "good wife", and she tried to break out of that mold playing an incredibly unsympathetic wife in "The Shrike", but the movie failed, and she returned to her good wife roles! Some of her movies include: The Glenn Miller Story, The Three Musketeers, and Executive Suite. She was the daughter of an alcoholic and she was married for a long time to actor Dick Powell, who also was an alcoholic, and sadly, after his death, she became an alcoholic, which caused a custody battle for her children with her own mother. Later in life, she became well remembered for her TV commercials for Depends! She passed away in 2006 AND Dick Powell was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. Some of his movies include: Just Around the Corner, Gold Diggers of 1933, Murder, My Sweet, Footlight Parade, and The Bad and the Beautiful. He was a light romantic musical star in the 1930s (and he released several albums during this period), and then he completely "reinvented" himself in the 1940s, playing tough guys in movies such as "Murder, My Sweet"! AND Andre Previn is a German born pianist, conductor and composer from the 1940s to the present. He has done musical scores for several films. Some of his movies include: My Fair Lady, Gigi, Porgy and Bess, and Jesus Christ Superstar Important Added Info: Note that at this Oscar ceremony, Andre Previn won the Academy Award for Best Musical Score for Gigi. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
