An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) They All Kissed the Bride, the 1942 Alexander Hall women-in-business romantic marriage comedy ("Grand people you'll have a swell time knowing!"; "A picture to keep 'em laughing... And loving!"; "There's never anything wrong with a woman that a man's lips won't cure!"; "Laughs without a let-up! Love without a let-down!"; "Love makes a glamour girl turn rug-cutter!"; "A picture to remember as fondly as the first time someone whispered... 'I love you'!"; "The fun is furious... and so was the groom... when Melvyn kissed the bride!"; "From a story by Gina Kaus and Andrew P. Solt"; about a woman who inherits her father's trucking business, and she successfully runs it herself, and a reporter turns up who wants to run a negative story about her, but he ends up falling for her instead) starring Joan Crawford, Melvyn Douglas, Roland Young, Billie Burke, Allen Jenkins, Mary Treen, and Edward Gargan. Note that this was originally going to be titled "He Kissed the Bride", but was later changed to the title that we know today. Also note that this movie was supposed to star Carole Lombard, but she was killed in a plane crash just prior to the filming of the movie, and Crawford stepped in to replace her. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and that was in 2007! Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has darkened somewhat and there are a few pinholes around the edges (some are in the outer edges of the image area). It has a few minor creases along the borders but overall the rare poster is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
