An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 42") (Learn More)

In Person Horace Heidt For Lucky Strike, the 1953 live stage show starring Johnny 'In The Book' Standley, Ralph Sigwald, Doodles Weaver, Bud Messenie, Lila Jackson and Conley Graves. Also on the billing was "A Night at the Circus", with a "complete cast of 50 people". Apparently, this was a traveling show that appeared around the country in 1953, and perhaps other years. Note that Horace Heidt was a Big Band leader of the 1930s, who successfully made the transition to radio in the 1940s, and moved to TV in 1950, with a talent show called "Original Youth Opportunity Program", and apparently after that, he began touring the country in stage shows (and no doubt the "for Lucky Strike" on this stage show poster references the cigarette company who likely was his sponsor). If anyone knows more about this show or about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 42". Please do not bid on it thinking that it is 27" x 41".

Condition: poor. The poster is rippled and brittle. There are several areas of paper loss and tears throughout. Please do not bid on this poster unless you are willing to accept its defects or have it restored.
