If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that original 1939 one-sheets from this title are quite rare! It is probably because this extremely popular movie was re-released at least three times in the 1940s and more times in 1950s, and it is likely that poster exchanges used up all of their 1939 posters during those re-releases. We have only previously once auctioned this style B one-sheet (and one of the style A one-sheets)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. It had a 10" vertical tear 2" to the left of the top center, going down through the left side of the man's figure, and through part of the "R" of "GRANT". There were small tears and small paper loss in the top center, extending 2" into the background. There were two diagonal tears near the center of the poster, above the "UN" of" GUNGA". There were some other tears and pinholes around the edges, with some stains and smudges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
