Important Added Info: What an elaborate "trick" to play on theater owners! The studio sent this brochure in hand addressed envelopes with a fake return address and a 3 cent stamp and marked the envelope "personal". Inside was a folksie letter "from" the character of the female lead of A Lady Takes a Chance played by Jean Arthur, describing her recent marriage and enclosing a black and white and color "photo album"! I imagine the studio thought theater owners would somehow be more likely to show the movie than if they just sent them a regular brochure! Condition: very good. small amount of paper loss in the top of the spine in the book as well as some areas of paper loss around the edges of the envelope; rust stain and tiny tear in the top of the "letter" as well as some in the upper left of the book from a paper clip used to hold the items together; 2" slightly diagonal crease in the upper left corner of the "letter" as well as minor creases and smudges throughout the items (more so in the envelope) Learn More about condition grades
