the local theater window card for the Star Theatre-Concord, advertising their show for a week in 1928, when they showed Ungarische Rhapsodie (released in the U.S. in 1929 as "Hungarian Rhapsody") the 1928 Hanns Schwarz German melodrama starring Lil Dagover, Willy Fritsch, and Dita Parlo (she was a sexy German actress of the late 1920s who had great success in two French movies, "L'Atalante" in 1934 and "La Grande Illusion" in 1937; she came to the United States, and was going to be in Orson Welles' version of Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness", but that movie fell through; she is idolized by Madonna!) Important Added Info: Note that this window card measures 14 1/4" x 22 1/2". Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.
