Buy War Savings Stamps, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bonds poster ("Boys and girls! You can help your Uncle Sam Win the War"; "Save your quarters"; "W.S.S. War Saving Stamps issued by the United States Government") encouraging children to support the war effort. Note that this poster features James Montgomery Flagg art of Uncle Sam carrying a girl as a boy looks up to him!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss down the left 2-3". It was separated across the middle. It had tears and paper loss in the boy's head and in the lower part of the girl's hair. It also had some creases, smudges, and scuffs scattered in the rest of the image and some smudges and tears in the other three borders. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Someone mounted the poster but did no restoration, and it is in urgent need of restoration!
