An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55") (Learn More) Gli Amanti d'Oltretomba (released in the U.S. in 1966 as "Nightmare Castle"), the 1965 Mario Caiano (billed as "Allan Grunewald") Italian giallo horror thriller ("So weird!.. So shocking! Do YOU dare see it!"; "A mad, sadistic scientist on the loose!"; "Warning! See it with someone who's shockproof") starring Barbara Steele, Laurence Clift (billed as "Lawrence Clift"), Paul Muller (billed as "Paul Miller"), Helga Line, Giuseppe Addobbati (billed as "John McDouglas"), and Rik Battaglia NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Rodolfo Gasparri Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Condition: good. The poster had creases, tears, and some tiny areas of paper loss down much of the vertical foldline and a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. There were some smudges, stains, and creases around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Also, at some point after the poster was backed, it was roughly handled, and there are now some faint horizontal creases in both the poster and the linen (although they are barely noticeable from the front), and there are also some faint water stains on the part of the back of the linen that was on the outside when it was rolled (although it does not seem to affect the front).
