Important Added Info: Note that this screenplay was written by Jerry Belson. It was consigned to us by Charles Shyer (see below). Mr. Belson gave this script to Mr. Shyer to review (this movie was a dream project of Mr. Belson's, and he worked on it for many years, but Mr. Shyer tells us that he thinks the final filmed version, which was directed by star Burt Reynolds, did not "turn out quite the way Jerry had hoped". Mr. Shyer was very close friends with Jerry Belson, and Mr. Belson would give Mr. Shyer examples of his scripts in order to get his feedback on them (sometimes Mr. Shyer would tell him his opinion, and sometimes he would make notes on the scripts themselves). Note that this script was consigned to us directly from director/screenwriter Charles Shyer. Mr. Shyer is the director of many extremely popular movies from the 1970s to the present, many of which are romantic comedies, including House Calls, Private Benjamin, Baby Boom, remakes of Father of the Bride and The Parent Trap, and many others. Over the years, he collected scripts, which he received primarily in two different ways. He was friends with screenwriters, directors, and producers during those years, and they would sometimes send him scripts of their movies to get his opinion of them, and many of those are offered here. This is a rare opportunity to purchase original scripts that come directly from the personal collection of a prominent director/screenwriter! Condition: very good.
