A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 46 1/2" x 62 1/2" [118 x 159 cm]) (Learn More) La Petit Parisien (literally translates to "The Small Parisian"), the 1935 French poster advertising an upcoming issue of the famous French journal published October 4, 1935, and featuring great art of a couple and an airplane by F. Rogier! Note that on the bottom of the poster it mentions "the great unpublished novel" The Great Wheel of Destiny by Gaston Ch. Richard. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: F. Rogier Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a very unusual printing defect. We have seen many posters over the years where a small corner was folded while it went through the press, resulting in an oddly printed corner, but in this case, a large section of the upper left border was folded, resulting in the top of the left corner being printed at an angle (and it also affects the left of the top border)! Of course, this could be "corrected" through restoration, although many people might find it to be a kind of cool addition to the poster (and it might be an extremely rare poster! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had an odd printing defect (see above). It also had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that the person who owned this poster stored it rolled, with the image area rolled outward, so it will be sent to the new owner in that way.
