A 1916 Re-Release (re-titled "The Capture of Rattlesnake Ike" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Circular Fence, the 1911 Allan Dwan silent cowboy western comedy short (a wacky story of a New York dude who goes west and ends up mixed up with an outlaw named "Rattlesnake Ike", and he is able to capture him because of a weird circular fence that brings Ike back to where he started) starring J. Warren Kerrigan, Pauline Bush, "An All Star Cast", Jack Richardson, Louise Lester, and Chick Morrison. Note that this was a 1911 movie that the IMDb says was called "The Circular Fence", and that it was re-released in 1916 as "The Capture of Rattlesnake Ike". Since this poster has that second title on it, we assume it IS from 1916, and that it is a re-release. If anyone knows more about this movie or this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info:

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Condition: fair. The poster was extremely fragile and had many areas of paper loss on parts of some foldlines and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed simply to keep it from deteriorating further, and no restoration was performed.
