An Unfolded 1990s Commercial Poster (made to be sold directly to the public; measures 22" x 33" [56 x 84 cm]) (Learn More)

Levi Strauss & Co. is a clothing company which was founded in 1853. It was started when Levi Strauss came from Buttenheim, Bavaria to San Francisco, California to open a branch of his bothers' New York dry goods business. Today, the company is known worldwide for it's denim jeans
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an undated, but likely 1990s, commercial poster version of a famous late 1960s or early 1970s Dutch advertising poster that was designed by Ida van Bladel for Levi-Strauss Europe. We don't know what country this poster was created in, but it is surely NOT the earlier Dutch poster, because that poster measured 25" x 37", and this poster measures 22" x 33". Do not bid on this poster thinking that it is the earlier Dutch poster, because it is surely a later (probably 1990s) commercial poster from a different country. Here is more about the original poster: It was far too risque in the late 1960s or early 1970s to be used in the U.S., although examples of the poster were brought to the U.S. by people who saw it in Europe. It was done in an attempt by Levi's to "connect" with the new "liberated" generation of young people at that time! Note also that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.

Condition: fair to good. There is light rippling and slight discoloration scattered in portions of the poster due to exposure to moisture and it has some very noticeable creases running vertically at center (see our image).
