An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Americans All, the 1944 The March of Time newsreel ("Springfield plan fights bigotry with education!"). This specific entry in the March of Time series (volume 10, issue 12) told how the school superintendent in Springfield, Massachusetts was successfully working to integrate the schools there by educating the parents and students first, and hopefully then "eliminate race prejudice". We don't know how well this worked out, but it is somewhat ironic that this movement began in Massachusetts, because a couple of decades later, there were great protests there when forced busing of black African American students was mandated in schools! Of course, The March of Time was the most popular of the many movie theater newsreels. This series was shown between 1935 and 1951, after having been a radio show from 1931 to 1935. Over the years, different stock posters and lobby cards were created for this series, sometimes with information about a specific newsreel printed or over-printed on to the poster. In the case of this entry in the series, they created a set of lobby cards on this specific newsreel, obviously because they thought it was very important!
Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. The borders have slightly darkened and there are faint smudges scattered around the edges. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
