Date Sold 12/1/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Slim Whitman (born Ottis Dewey Whitman, Jr.) is a country western music singer from the 1950s to the present. Some of his songs include: Indian Love Call (which was used as a weapon against Martians in "Mars Attacks"), Keep It Secret, and Secret Love. As we all know from his many commercials for his albums, he "had more number one hits in England than The Beatles and Elvis combined"! Whitman passed away in 2013 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
