What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss in the top corners, extending into the border area. It had paper loss in the bottom right corner, in the solid black area. It had some small areas of paper loss along parts of the folds, and some pinholes, tears, and stains in the rest of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
