An Original Vintage Theatrical 7" x 10" [18 x 25 cm] Stage Play Still (Learn More) David Warfield was an American stage actor from the 1880s to 1930. In 1901, after years of smaller parts, he was discovered and promoted by David Belasco, who starred him in The Auctioneer, in which he played 1,400 times, including a revival that extended over several seasons. Another of his best-known roles was that of Anton von Barwig in The Music Master, which he played from 1904 to 1907, appearing in the part more than 1000 times. He passed away in 1951 at the age of 84. At the time of his death, Warfield was one of the world's richest entertainers. Important Added Info: Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock and it has an embossed photographer's stamp in the bottom right. Also note that this still measures 7" x 10" [18 x 25 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Condition: very good. There are some faint smudges around the edges.
