Mutiny On the Bounty, the 1962 Lewis Milestone & Carol Reed high seas adventure melodrama ("A story of romance and adventure on the high seas and in the South Pacific"; "The greatest adventure ever lived becomes the greatest adventure ever filmed!"; "The mightiest sea-spectacle that ever swept across the screen!"; "True... Turbulent... Tremendous! The mightiest excitement that ever swept across the sea or the screen!"; "Mutiny surges across the storm-tossed ship!"; "A moment of ecstasy amid a nightmare!"; "Men lashed by a cruel captain!"; "The Bounty is welcomed by natives of Tahiti!"; "Filmed in the exotic splendor of Bora-Bora, Moorea and fabled Tahiti."; "Based on the novel by Charles Nordhoff and James Norman Hall"; "The most exciting and romantic real-life adventure ever told!"; "Marlon Brando looks proud but pensive as the Bounty leaves England on a voyage that will make history."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Marlon Brando ("as Fletcher Christian"), Trevor Howard ("as Captain Bligh"), Richard Harris ("as John Mills"), Hugh Griffith, Richard Haydn, Tarita (a Tahitian woman who went by this single name), Percy Herbert, Duncan Lamont, and Noel Purcell. Note that star Marlon Brando had a fascination for Tahitian women, which was a major factor in his wanting to make this movie. Before this film, he sought out and married Movita, who had starred in the 1935 version with Clark Gable, having two children with her. After the filming of this movie, he had an affair with Tarita, who played the role Movita had played in 1935, and he married and had two children with her as well!

Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: very good to fine, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut and is in nice condition!
