An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Masked Emotions, the 1929 David Butler & Kenneth Hawks romantic crime thriller ("Story by Ben Ames Williams") starring George O'Brien, Nora Lane, James Gordon, J. Farrell MacDonald, Frank Hagney, and David Sharpe. Note that co-director Kenneth Hawks was a World War I veteran and graduated from Yale, and he seemed to have an incredibly bright future when he was signed to director for Fox Films, three years after his brother Howard started directing. He married Mary Astor in 1928, and he directed this movie and two others, but on January 2, 1930, he was killed in a plane crash during the filming of his last movie, and that left Mary Astor a widow, and the studio completed that movie and released it two months after his passing. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but otherwise it is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
