Raduga (released in English-speaking countries as "The Rainbow"), the 1944 Mark Donskoy Russian Ukraine World War II (WWII) Nazi Germany military propaganda crime melodrama ("Symbol of doom for the Nazis. Symbol of hope for the world. The greatest story of this war"; "Based on the novel 'Tecza' by Wanda Wasilewska"; about a Nazi-occupied Ukrainian village in World War II, and how the Nazis torture the villagers, including killing small children, and the villagers take control of the village and put the surviving Nazis on trial for their crimes in a people's court) starring Nina Alisova, Natalya Uzhviy, Vera Ivashova, Yelena Tyapkina, Hans Klering, and Nikolai Bratersky. Note that this movie was made by the Russians during World War II, when they were our ally, and it was given a release in the U.S. by Artkino. Of course, just a few years later, Russia became our bitter enemy!
