An Original 1975 (from the first release of this movie in Poland) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 22 1/4" x 31 1/2" [57 x 80 cm]) (Learn More) The Getaway, the classic 1972 Sam Peckinpah romantic crime action thriller ("Screenplay by Walter Hill"; "From the novel by Jim Thompson") starring Steve McQueen (as Doc McCoy), Ali MacGraw (as Carol McCoy), Ben Johnson (as Jack Beynon), Al Lettieri (as Rudy Butler), Sally Struthers ("as Fran"), Slim Pickens, Jack Dodson, Dub Taylor, and Bo Hopkins. Note that the source novel of this movie was pretty "unfilmable" as written (especially the ending!), but Walter Hill did an excellent job adapting it, and while it is not the same story, it is in many ways faithful to the original, and it is certainly one of the best movies of its kind ever made! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Elzbieta Procka Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a fine horizontal line in the artwork at center that appears to be a foldline but it is not! It is part of the printing and is not a foldline. Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never completely folded, but it was likely tri-folded in with a group of posters, because there are three partial horizontal folds (not really folds, but more like "waves").
