An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded German "A0" Festival Poster (33x47; measures 34 1/4" x 47 3/4" [87 x 121 cm]) (Learn More) Lach am Lech (literally translates to "Laugh at the Lech"), the 1937 German poster (with a tagline that translates to "399 years of Augsburg carnival") promoting a festival to be held near the Lech river in Augsburg, Germany. Note that this poster features Ernst Hoff art of a man pouring a drink for a smiling woman. Artist: Ernst Hoff Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning (and it sold for $325) and that same poster has been reconsigned for this auction! Note that this poster must be sent in a tube that is over 32" long (which is why it is in this set of auctions). You can tell how long the tube will need to be by adding 2 inches to the shorter dimension of the length or width (so 40x60s need to be sent in a 42 inch long tube, etc). Most of these posters (with the notable exception of paper banners) CAN be combined in the same tube together, with a few exceptions. Bear in mind that a very long tube (42 inches or longer) will cost a lot more to send than a 30" tube, so bear that in mind before bidding on this poster. Condition: very good. The poster was folded at one time, but it has been laying flat for a very long time, and the folds have practically disappeared. Someone put some tape on the back of the entire right border where there had been a few small tears, and it has darkened the front of most of the right blank border, but fortunately, just the blank area (see our image). But overall, the poster has survived in pretty nice condition, and its defects are primarily in the blank borders. Learn More about condition grades
