Artist: Richardson Studio Important Added Info: We have auctioned this poster before and it was not backed, and it measures very slightly taller than this poster (perhaps 1/4"). It appears that someone might have trimmed a sliver from both the top and bottom of the poster, but if so, that is certainly not a very big deal at all! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster may have been extremely slightly trimmed at the top and bottom . It had some brown stains and tiny paper loss near the middle of the right border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
