An Original 1960 (from the first release of this movie in the Czech Republic) Vintage Theatrical Folded Czechoslovakian Movie Poster (measures 11 1/2" x 16" [29 x 41 cm]) (Learn More) Happy Is the Bride, the 1958 Roy Boulting (apparently without the involvement of his twin brother John!) English romantic marriage wedding comedy ("'It happened one night' in Merrie England..."; "Their wedding day might be a bore But they'd never forget the night before!") starring Ian Carmichael, Janette Scott, Cecil Parker, Terry-Thomas (billed as "Guest Star Terry-Thomas"), Joyce Grenfell, Eric Barker, Edith Sharpe, and Elvi Hale. Note that Janette Scott is best remembered for her starring role in "Day of the Triffids" in 1963, which was immortalized in the lyrics of the song from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" that says "And I really got hot When I saw Janette Scott fight a triffid that spits poison and kills." She divorced her first husband and married Mel Torme in 1966, which pretty much ended her career, as she quickly had two children. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Ivo Grunt Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded across the middle at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.
