Note that this movie combines wonderful direction by Ernst Lubitsch, great writing by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder, and wonderful acting by the leads. It really "has it all"! Important Added Info: Note that, immediately after World War II, the U.S. occupied Japan, and many American movies were shown in the late 1940s. All of the Japanese posters we have seen from that period have a "Motion Picture Export Association" circular printed logo on the poster, and this only seems to be on these late 1940s posters. Since there were many U.S. servicemen in Japan at this time, these posters have the title written in both Japanese and in English, and they are from the first Japanese release. Condition: very good. The poster had one fold across the middle with a triangular area of paper loss at the right end of the middle fold (yellow background area only). There were creases, smudges, and a few small tears around the edges of the poster, and some minor scuffing throughout the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but you can tell that the piece has been replaced in the middle of the right border (it is not distracting, and it is solely in the solid yellow area).
