An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 47 1/4" x 63" [120 x 160 cm]) (Learn More)

L'Empire du Crime (literally translates to "The Empire of Crime"), the 1963 Bill Karn & Richard C. Kahn mafia organized crime melodrama starring Myron Healey, Jean Harvey, Paul Dubov, Richard Crane, Tamar Cooper, Baynes Barron, and Doug Wilson. Note that this is a mysterious title! Most sources agree that L'Empire du Crime is the French release title of the 1957 U.S. film Guns Don't Argue, which was a compilation of episodes from the 1952 TV series Gangbusters. However, we have seen two different French posters under that title, which have some differences in cast members and director(s) and are from different distributors. Another 1954 compilation from the series was released in 1955 under the title Gangbusters, but that film does not feature Richard Crane (who is on both posters). So it seems likely that one of the posters is promoting another film (likely another compilation from the TV series) or it is from a re-release of Guns Don't Argue. Please keep this mystery in mind when bidding and if anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
