An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

Pygmy Island (also released as "Jungle Jim in Pygmy Island"), the 1950 William A. Berke adventure thriller ("Masked enemies ambush Army in Johnny's jungle!"; "Johnny drives America's enemies out of jungle frontier!"; "Based upon the famous Jungle Jim King Features Syndicate newspaper feature") starring Johnny Weissmuller ("as Jungle Jim"), Ann Savage, David Bruce, Steven Geray, Jean Byron, James Seay, Jeanne Dean, and Steve Calvert (as the man in the gorilla suit!). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume!

Condition: good. There are several la rte and there are a few (with some paper loss) and lower right (see our image). Many of the tears or other defects as described above have been repaired with several pieces of tape from the back. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
