An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed English Movie Pressbook (English pb; measures 10" x 14 1/2" [25 x 37 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) Born to Dance, the 1936 Roy Del Ruth Navy-sailors-on-leave romantic musical ("Gangway... as a mighty singtime musical swings into port!"; "MGM's dazzling successor to 'The Great Ziegfeld'!"; "Seven hot hit tunes by Cole Porter") starring Eleanor Powell, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Virginia Bruce, Una Merkel, Sid Silvers, Frances Langford, Raymond Walburn, Alan Dinehart, Buddy Ebsen ("That funny dancin' man is here again!"), and Georges and Jalna (a specialty dance team who dance one of the numbers from this movie) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by James Stewart! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer, Anthony F. Smith (who is a legendary Texas memorabilia dealer since the 1960s), but he does not have a "certificate of authenticity". Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this English pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Finally, note that this English pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut and was never folded. There is rust at the staples. Learn More about condition grades
