Date Sold 1/10/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Extravagance, the 1921 Phil Rosen silent romantic melodrama ("by Ben Ames Williams"; "Scenario by Edward Lowe Jr."; about a woman who buys a sable coat that her husband can't really afford, and then she adds even more extravagances to her life, and her husband can't keep up, and he commits suicide, and at the end of the movie, she returns the coat, wiser, but much sadder) starring May Allison, Robert Edeson, Theodore von Eltz, William Courtwright, Lawrence Grant, and Grace Pike NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good. All of the black tape was missing, and someone used masking tape on all the borders to keep the two panes together. Otherwise, the slide is in nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
