Some of her movies include: Flower Drum Song, The World of Suzie Wong (in the title role), Noble House, and Fate Is the Hunter. As of 2021, she is still alive at the age of 82! Important Added Info: Camera original 2 1/4" portrait transparency taken when Nancy Kwan was first discovered to show her range as a budding actress. A very early pose of this legendary beauty. 1 of 4 being listed this week. Like many transparencies from the time these all exhibit a strong color shift to red. Included in the listing are scans of the transparencies retouched to show how brilliant they can look when properly calibrated. Note that this the transparency film that was in the camera when the photographer shot the photo (see below for more on this). What is a transparency? They are produced by the studio and are very high quality and were created in quantity and sent to media outlets or other places that had need of the very highest quality image for reproduction purposes (in newspapers, magazines, or elsewhere). A clear border around a 4x5 transparency denotes duplication from a negative source, a black border denotes duplication from a positive source. This transparency is in a plastic sleeve (but we removed it and scanned it, so that bidders could see just how high quality it is). It will be sent to the winner of the auction in the plastic sleeve. The coloring of the transparency has changed over the years, and our consignor prepared a "color corrected" version (through PhotoShop), and we have an image of the transparency as it appears alongside the color corrected version, but of course, the auction is for a single transparency. Condition: fair to good. Exhibiting dust and fingerprints that can be cleaned before use. The color of the transparency has changed from how it originally was, but otherwise, it is in nice condition.
