An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Clarence Day's Life with Father, the 1947 Michael Curtiz romantic family relationship comedy ("There's someone else who's going to see... 'Life With Father'"; "From the Original Play by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse"; "On the screen in Technicolor!"; "From Oscar Serlin's Stage Production"; based on the real-life memoirs of Clarence Day; about an opinionated red-haired man and his equally opinionated red-haired wife and their many red-headed children, at the beginning of the 20th century) starring William Powell (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Irene Dunne, Elizabeth Taylor, Edmund Gwenn, Zasu Pitts, and Jimmy Lydon. Note that there are many Hollywood stories about top stars vying for top billing on movie advertising, but the story on this movie is one of the best ever! Both William Powell and Irene Dunne (both certainly very top stars of the 1930s) wanted top billing on the movie, so it was finally agreed that two prints would be made of the film, one where Powell was billed first, and one where Dunne was billed first, and it was in the contracts that each theater showing the movie would receive both prints and alternate showing them every day! In addition, two sets of movie paper advertising were created, similarly with one set with Powell on top (called "Des 1"), and one with Dunne on top (called "Des 2"), and no doubt, each theater received two sets and were supposed to display both of them!
