An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Julia Faye was an actress from 1915 to 1958. You likely have not heard of her, but she had a fascinating life story. She was born in 1892, and became a fashion model as a teenager, given the nickname of "the girl with the perfect legs". She went to Hollywood where she was used as a "leg double" for top actresses and she caught the eye of Cecil B. DeMille, who began a decades long affair with her. He cast her in many of his top 1920s movies, but her career never really took off. In the 1930s, her career fizzled, but DeMille stood by her and kept her under contract as a stock player, and she continued playing bit parts in movies throughout the 1940s and 1950s, retiring in 1958, and passing away in 1966 at the age of 73.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock and it has an embossed photographer's stamp in one of the bottom corners. Also note that this still measures 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm], but it has not been trimmed.

Condition: good. The still has discolored unevenly (see our image).
