An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Laura, the classic 1944 Otto Preminger (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) romantic love triangle crime film noir ("The story of a love that became the most fearful thing that ever happened to a woman!"; "Adapted from the novel by Vera Caspery"; about a detective investigating the death of a gorgeous woman, and he wishes he could have known her, and then it turns out she's not dead after all!) starring Gene Tierney (in the title role as Laura Hunt), Dana Andrews, Clifton Webb (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Vincent Price, Judith Anderson, and Lane Chandler NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet is rarely offered for sale. We have only auctioned five examples of it, and only three in the past 22 years! It is surely extremely popular among collectors who have wives or daughters named "Laura"! Condition: good to very good. The poster has 1 1/2" of separation at the middle crossfold and some tiny tears at scattered down the vertical fold with much lesser wear at the horizontal folds. It has three pieces of tape on back of the bottom of the vertical fold and two other pieces on back of the upper half of the vertical fold, covering tears. It has 3" of separation at the right end of the middle fold and a diagonal tear coming off of that going into Andrew's shoulder with clear tape on back of that tear. It has pinholes in the corners and some tiny bits of paper loss in the borders with a 1 1/2" tear in the center of the bottom border. After a pretty simple linenbacking the poster will display wonderfully. Learn More about condition grades
