An Original Vintage German Film Program (measures 6" x 8 3/4" [15 x 22 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) the 1930s German local theater program featuring Der Blaue Engel (simultaneously released in the U.S. as "The Blue Angel", there were English language and German language versions), the classic 1930 Josef von Sternberg German tragic romantic musical melodrama (about a well respected college professor who falls for a slutty night club singer, and she is thrilled to have such an illustrious suitor, but he throws his career away to marry her, with disastrous consequences; from the novel by Heinrich Mann) starring Marlene Dietrich (as Lola Lola), Emil Jannings (as Professor Immanuel Rath), Kurt Gerron, Rosa Valetti, Hans Albers, and Reinhold Bernt. Note that we do not know if there are any differences in the cast between the German language and the English language version (we know that most of the actors were German, but that they performed the English language version themselves in heavily accented English). If anyone knows of any differences between the two versions of this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. AND Micky, the 1926 silent animated cartoon short. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. AND Das Rheinlandmadel (released in the U.S. in 1931 as "The Rhineland Model"), the 1930 Johannes Meyer German musical romantic comedy starring Gretel Berndt, Lucie Englisch, Werner Fuetterer, Trude Berliner, Ilse Nast, and Ernst Dernburg NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that German first release Blue Angel items are extremely expensive, but this local theater program has a great full-page ad for that movie, with art! Also note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended). Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
