Important Added Info: Note that the cover of "The Care and Handling" manual has been cut as has page 25,26 and the back cover of the pressbook. There are also yellow tape stains and other defects. This pressbook has significant defects, so please do not bid on it unless you can accept them! Also note that this pressbook contains a special supplement titled "The Care and Handling of 'Psycho'". Also note that pressbooks were prepared prior to a movie being released. Often, changes would be made in a movie advertising campaign (billing of actors, different images, etc.), and the theaters would print up special supplements that they would send out with the pressbooks that had already been printed. These supplements are very rare, far more rare than the pressbooks themselves! Some pressbooks would have no supplements, some would have one, and some would have several. Almost every Academy Award winning movie would have a special "Academy Award winner" supplement. Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. But on October 30th, every one of these pressbooks will go to a new owner, as all are being sold with NO reserve. Note that this collection spans the years from 1950 to 1972, and just about every single 1950s and 1960s horror/sci-fi movie is represented here. Also note that we have listed them in DATE order (first by year, and then alphabetically within years). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale! Condition: good. This pressbook has either ads cut out or missing pages or both. Above we noted exactly how many cut ads or missing pages there are, whether or not they affect the poster page, and any other significant defects the pressbook has. It has also never been folded, which is also unusual, as almost all larger pressbooks were folded in half so that they could be more easily transported. Other than the above defects, the pressbook is in very good condition. But please do not bid on this pressbook unless you can accept that it has ad cuts or missing pages.
