An Original Vintage Autographed German 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" [9 x 14 cm] Postcard (Learn More)

Theodor Loos was a German actor from the 1910s to the 1960s. He was born in 1883 and made his first movie in 1913. He was in Fritz Lang's greatest movies, Die Nibelungen (as King Gunther), Spies, Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse, M, and Metropolis! He appeared in 201 films in all, and was one of the actors who stayed in Germany throughout World War II, appearing in many of the Nazi films, including Jud Suss. He appeared in five movies after World War II, passing away in 1954 at the age of 71.
Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Theodor Loos! Note that this card is from 1942, near the end of this actor's career. We know that, both because the image on the front of the card is from how he looked in 1942, when he was nearly 60, and because the card was actually mailed from Germany in 1942, and it has a dated Berlin postmark!

UPDATED 03/04/2016: Note that a knowledgeable collector pointed out that this signed postcard was mailed from the house of Theodor Loos, and you can see his stamped address on the back of the card under the Propaganda postal stamp.

Condition: very good. The card was in an album and there are some glue stains around the edges of the reverse, and some minor wear on the front (see our images).
