An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Docks of San Francisco, the 1932 George B. Seitz (billed as "Geo. B Switz") California waterfront crime thriller starring Mary Nolan, Jason Robards Sr., Marjorie Beebe, John Davidson, and Max Davidson. Note that star Mary Nolan was a former Ziegfeld girl who was then known as "Bubbles Wilson", but she had a very troubled life, filled with scandal, and she retired from movies in 1932, and was later a drug addict, and died in 1948 at the age of 43, completely forgotten. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair. The poster is in much lesser condition. There is much discoloration scattered throughout due to exposure to moisture which has made the paper brittle, and there is deterioration and paper loss around the edges. There is an 11" tear at left that has been repaired with tape from the back and some of the lesser tears are repaired as well. The poster is in urgent need of restoration, and certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration and its significant defects before placing a bid.
