An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Silent Power, the 1926 Frank O'Connor silent executioner electric chair anti-capital-punishment melodrama ("A dynamic photodrama of high tension electric thrills"; "Story and Scenario by James Bell Smith"; about a man who is a firm believer in capital punishment, and works as an executioner, running an electric chair, but then his own son is condemned to die, and he insists on standing true to his beliefs and pulling the switch, but at the last moment, he faints before he can do so, and it is a good thing, because the true murderers are exposed at that very moment!; perhaps modern day anti-capital punishment people should resurrect this movie!) starring Ralph Lewis, Ethel Shannon, Charles Delaney (billed as "Chas. Delaney"), Vadim Uraneff, and Robert Homans NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster was tri-folded only. There were some creases and a very few tiny tears on the folds, and some creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster, in the blank borders only. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did nothing to the defects in the edges of the blank borders, because they will not show when the poster is framed. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
