An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More)

Ingmar Bergman's Jungfrukallan (released in the U.S. as "The Virgin Spring"), the classic 1960 Ingmar Bergman Swedish brutal-rape-and-murder-followed-by-revenge-by-father melodrama ("Ravished innocence... brings terrible revenge!"; winner of the Academy Award & Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film) starring Max von Sydow, Birgitta Valberg, Gunnel Lindblom, Birgitta Pettersson, Axel Duberg, and Tor Isedal. Note that in 1972, this movie was remade (minus all the artistry, but with added brutality) as "The Last House on the Left".

Artist: Renato Casaro
Important Added Info: Note that this classic Bergman movie was released in Italy in 1960. After he had several more successes, the movie was re-released in 1965, with very similar posters. We have mistakenly sold 1965 re-release posters as first release from 1965 in the past (but of course, we have notified those buyers). The poster offered here is the very rare 1960 first release!

Condition: good. The poster is fragile and has darkening, separation, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines, and tears and tiny paper loss around the edges. But the poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic, and it will likely require little paint restoration within the image. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored!
